Vote Tomorrow! And behave yourselves afterward.

Exodus 22:28 “You must not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers.”

Let’s talk about this. There are a lot of people that do not like the other presidential candidate. No, we don’t need to get into which is who; the only point is that many of us don’t like at least one of the candidates. I’ve seen many people talk about the fact that if the one they do not like is elected into office, they will rebel against him or her and say that church and government should be separate. Yes, I agree on that too, but that does not give Christians the right to cause uproar about our leaders. Even Jesus said to give to the government what is theirs- he essentially told us to follow our country’s rules and laws. However, we do not have to follow others’ customs. That is not a power the government has over us. We have our religious freedom. The bible encourages us to stand up for what we believe in, but it also clearly states that we are to behave ourselves according to the laws where we live.

Americans, all of you go on and get out there tomorrow to vote! Just remember that we still have to accept the new leader as our leader. If it is the one we like, that works out wonderfully! Rejoice in the Lord! If it is the one we do not like, still rejoice in the Lord and watch the new leaders adjust to their roles. Either way- once the new leaders of the country, the state, and the local communities are decided, we will all need to get to work writing them all letters about our personal movements. In my case, I am for freeing the midwives, securing the right mental health services for the deaf, and for my family to continue to have the right to carrying concealed weapons wherever we go.

Good luck voting tomorrow and may the lines not be so long for you all!
