I commented about Andrea forgetting a seventh and voila, I’m the seventh! So here we are. This prize comes with rules, which is to write a post about it linking back to the blog I spotted it at, which is Andrea’s. I need to choose at least seven blogs from my blogroll and list them along with comments on their blogs to inform them that I awarded them the “Honest Scrap Weblog” Award. I also must list ten honest things about myself. Then those who I listed will have to pass it on if they want to accept the ‘Honest Scrap’ Award. Here they are-

1. Mishkazena blogs about unique events related to audism that is going on in the deaf community and she finds the interesting news that I always seem to miss.

2. Jennifer blogs about her life in general- what she cooks, interesting articles she comes across, and the milestones in her marriage and pregnancy. She has a cute witty style of blogging which draws me into keeping her on my blogroll. It also doesn’t hurt that Jennifer is a sweetheart!

3. Ashley vents on her blog, but she writes in a quirky way that it comes across as hilarious and you can’t help but chuckle with her at the plights she finds herself in. She also tells you about the things that comes out of the mouths of her babes which are priceless gems. My favorite so far is “You stop it RIGHT NOW, you little….BUCCANEER TEST!!!”

4. Karen is a deaf mom like me. Her blog is more along the lines of how being deaf affects her life, like being refused service when she tried to do drive-thru Steak-n-Shake.

5. `I recently “met” Jill online- her blog is worth taking a look at.

6. Wendy’s currently pregnant and is navigating life with her daughter in a hot climate.

7. Laronda is a late-deafened adult blogging about her experiences. It is very interesting to read about a different point of view within the deaf community and she shines a light on the segregation of deaf/Deaf/late-deafened/hoh/etc.

Now, ten facts about myself…

1. My favorite flower is lilac, but I also adore lilies and iris.

2. I am hooked on Harry Potter books and the movies. I count down to when they are released on DVD.

3. I cloth-diaper my children.

4. I am trying to decorate my living room in a combination of Asian-style and rustic cabin-style- I’m slowly getting décor, piece by piece as the budget allows.

5. I am bipolar, hence my extreme mood swings.

6. I’m working on a book about a deaf girl who has to learn to survive on her own.

7. Sometimes I have issues with my anger management.

8. I am a coffee, cocoa, and tea snob.

9. I played tightend for a professional women’s football team as #9.

10. I check out 25 library books at a time; the maximum allowed.
